Professional Student

It has been just over two years since I graduated from BYU and almost a year since I finished hair school. And since then I have simply been working. Which don't get me wrong, I love my job, but I am a very goal oriented person. I'm all about planning and accomplishing. And lately neither of those have been happening. I was stuck. so I had a long talk with my mom...who is amazing and she and I decided that I should go back to school. so back to school I go. I will be starting school again in May...studying english. so while all my friends are dying to get out of school I am signing myself up again...haha call me crazy but i'm SO excited! I am on my way to accomplishing something again! :)

Halloween!

Hey friends...I was recently chastened by a friend for not updating my blog..so here goes. Although, there is not much to update. so I will start with Halloween! My sister shannon was in desperate need of a haircut so she flew me out to washington for halloween. Since I was spending the evening with my nieces I thought it would be a great idea to dress up...so I thought, what can I be for halloween? and the answer was so obvious...pale skin, dark hair...SNOW WHITE! yes. so my mom and I got to work sewing my dress. And boy was it fun...except for the humidity in the hair which flattened my snow white curls! one little girl I passed trick or treating said to her mom in awe "oh! a princess!"...haha it was awesome! And my girls looked great....Emily was the corpse bride and gilly was a ballerina...what better way to spend halloween than trick or treating with two super cute girls that I love!

Officially DONE!

yes I am officially done with hair school. I took my final written exam yesterday and passed with flying colors. I survived all 2000 hrs of hair school and got my signed paperwork from the school. Now I just have to write out a check and fill out an application and I will be a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Utah. I am still not sure where I want to work...that is on next week's to-do list. :)

One Step Closer

Last friday was a crazy crazy day...I had to take one of my state tests to get my license...ahhh! talk about scary. The proctor was nice enough but it still isn't fun to have someone standing two feet behind you looking over your shoulder judgeing your every action...but the good news is...I passed. I just have to take the written portion of the test and then i'll be able to get my license. But the hard part is over....well..then I have to find a job..

old age

Yes my friends...I am officially old. My birthday has past and I am officially 1/4 of a century old...sick. Sadly I did not do anything fun...I went to school and then straight to work. But that has made me realize that next year I am going to do something amazing...like disneyland or europe...not really sure but I know I will not be at work.
I have also decided that I am just going to keep turning 25 until I can't pass for 25 anymore. I should have a good five years before I have to turn 26...sounds like a great plan huh? yeah I thought so!

I have finally started working on my employment portfolio and i'm super excited about it..I got the proofs back from the shoot I did last week and they turned out really great. now if the whole thing were all put together and finished I would be even more excited...this is my favorite shot ..there are four more of my favorites on my facebook page if you want to see them..Jen did a fantastic job (jgphotographypro.com)
